Congrats Amanda. I never thought she could be this thirsty. You can literally feel how much she wants it now. When she’s struggling with her game she doesn’t stop fighting and when she’s flowing she’s just blowing people away. Noskova made a good account of herself in the second set. Both her serves and returns went up several notches and she was the better player in the second set. In the third set it seemed she ran out of gas and Amanda was determined not to let this one get away. Fantastic win and I’m so curious how she will do in Wuhan and yec. Somehow I don’t think she will be an easy out the rest of the year. Good luck to the rest of the tour.

Hopefully this quells the Paolini/Jabeur comparisons (even though they were silly in the first place).
Paolini & Jabeur have won WTA 1000 events and have multiple slam F's...

This doesn't move the needle, lmao.

Only Amanda can get rid of those comparisons by winning a slam 🤷‍♂️ not because you just feel she's better

Silly goose.

Mentally Anisimova's sill catching up (not completely settled/adjusted to the big leagues. She just schooled a rookie in a final she was the odds on fave and supposed to dominate anyway, yet she's rolling on the floor celebrating like she herself just arrived on the scene.
Nah, Anisimova is the real deal and will dominate the tour next year winning 3 out of the 4 slams :s

First it was Mboko now Anisimova is the flavor of the month. Who's next?

Paolini is useless vs. the top 2. Amanda's weapons put her on another level, even if the achievements are similar.

Finals Iga might have had something to do with that. Amazing how people still don't give Swiatek full credit for winning Wimbledon. Not like her dominating a finals was a new thing.
Iga can have the credit - but that Amanda was so nervous that she was completely unable to perform is a simple fact...

Only Amanda can get rid of the comparisons to non slam winners by winning a slam until then you all are just fawning over some perceived ability that hasn't realized itself yet. Amanda and all her "weapons" still got 0-6, 0-6 in a GS final when the same can't be said for Jabeur or Paolini 🤷‍♂️

Jabeur beat Sabalenka at a slam and Paolini has 3 wins over Gauff this year. If you're gonna shit on them then keep the same energy for Amanda. Otherwise give them all props.

She is fragile mentally. If you are not that type of human with huge self doubt plus potential Imposter syndrome you can never understand why Anisimova behaves like she does.

And Amanda has beaten her in 3/4 Slam venues and now beat Iga in a Slam as well. Paolini could never. A 5'2" player that came on at damn near age 30 isn't comparable to Amanda.

Those two players aren't thinking twice when Paolini is on the other side of the net. It is what it is.
