She is 30
Her previous CHR is #15 in April 2024
Her current live race rank is #12
Her current live rank is #22

Best results in GS are Multiple 3r appearances, one 4r at Wimbledon

In slams she always loses early but peaks for the 500 - is seeded but doesn't do much except get upset

It's possible but she'll have to do it via the Haddad Maia, Kasatkina method which doesn't require results at the big tournaments.

The formula is 25 tournaments a year and hope for a low points threshold for the cut. Bandiana has gotten close by doing this.

I'm gonna say no but I still think there's a deep Slam run in her. She's really good on grass, so probably Wimbledon.

Just watched a Tennis Channel interview where she talks about Slams. She said she struggles to adjust because there are too many people and she prefers to play smaller tournaments where she's more relaxed.

Yes!
Am not a huge fan, but have huge respect for her, she can be one of the best players in the world when she is on.
Am not sure how or when, but would be shocking if she ends her career stuck at #15. She has to have a good slam run at some point...

Something that randomly popped in my mind is that she really reminds me of Goerges
-> Very good serve
-> Big Forehand
-> Not afraid of coming to the net (also Goerges did that more often and has been the slightly better doubles player)
-> choker
-> underachieved at big events
-> having randomly winning streaks and sometimes looking unbeatable
-> both >30 when cracking the top 10 (optimistic alexandrova does so by reaching Cincinnati final before losing to Avanesyan/Bronzetti/Bouzkova/Siniakova in US Open Round 1)
-> headcase

And she really outplayed Aryna in that first set at the USO 24! Obviously did beat her in Doha.
Ive started following Ekat and rooting for her (while waiting for Krejcikova to heal up!!!) as she is one of the most low key, low hyped players yet when she is playing well, she has such a great aggressive game.
I would love to see her crack the top 10 and if it is going to happen, this year might be her best chance. A few good runs and maybe..

Later this year, way to good not to.
One good slam run this year will do it for her, but of course she's not very reliable, but hey, why not.

I just looked at the live rankings. First I had no idea she's 30 years old. Even if she wins Charleston, she'd go up to #17 with a 1600 point gap to #10. She could go as high as #6 in the race though... Seeing how inconsistent she is, it's unlikely she'd maintain anything like that with other players coming into their best parts of the season.

I voted no.

No , but close enough with a couple of good runs at Slams in the coming years .
She lacks consistency.

She’ll reach number 11 someday, just like Alice Cornet

She's really close. :p

Svitolina finished her season, Tauson is running on fumes and the others are nearly 1000 points away! I was expecting Osaka to have a great Asian Swing but that loss to Sasnovich...

She's the kind of player that screams #11 career high but looks like she's gonna make it.

nice bump

w/ a Beijing win, Bencic or Navarro could overtake her but otherwise it's looking decent. If only she didn't crash out early in Beijing
