Seems strange, no?

Good question. Higher ranked players like Sabalenka, Pegula and Jabeur are still on the entry list...

Sabalenka may feel consequences later i.e. in Stuttgart/Madrid/Rome. Pegula... Well, Pegula will be burnt out before grass series. She's crazy with current schedule i.e. singles and doubles week after week like a machine. She may feel like 18, but body will say NO, sooner rather than later. Ons has a lot of points to defend this season. I'm afraid she made a mistake trying to return before injury is fully healed. Hopefully she won't fall into oblivion when this season ends.

At this rate, Coco will be an ITF Journeywoman before she hits Age 21...
Coco, we hardly knew ye...
The rate of… 6th in the rolling rankings and 7th in the race. She’s clearly doomed!

I assume it's cuz she is playing Stuttgart, Madrid, and Rome before the FO. I don't think the green clay is great prep anyway.

Coco is playing Billie Jean King Cup on hard courts in Delray Beach the week after Charleston! Why would she play on the Charleston green clay and then switch back to hard courts the following week?
Pegula's schedule makes no sense: Miami on hard courts, Charleston on green clay, BJK Cup Delray Beach on hard again. She will most likely withdraw from Charleston.

Coco is living her best life spending her millions of dollars while her peasant detractors are concerned about her forehand, when and where she should be playing at, and how she's going to become a journey woman in under a year.

Vicki is only 19, she needs to be smart with her schedule and having in mind she is started so young, professional at barely 14…it’s probably better to do this than to burn out by mid 20s.

If only she had some decent results lately to be really missed. If she starts playing better, maybe I'll root for her in more matches (well, not when she's playing my faves, of course).
