Kalinskaya hit so many winners today, too much for Raducanu who should take positives from this week We're denied a rematch vs Fernandez in a smaller final.

 

Skaya didn't have to serve the match out.

She cannot be trusted but I hope she at least keeps this level for the rest of the season.

I thought Skaya had a dog called Kobe...

Lovely hitting from Anna today, made Emma look weapon less

 

Kalinskaya played better and was redlining for a big part of the match, deserved the win. It was a close contest, Emma had her chances but couldn’t take it and lacked quality in the finishing shots when she most needed it, especially on the bh side. 1/6 on bps, too many errors and not enough first serves.

The Emma vs Leylah party in ruins:

Both played near toe to toe Emma imo started better but Anna able to take that first break and close it defending two break points seals the deal for the first set.

2nd set there's a drastic fall on both players both breaking each other first two games but Anna was able to get back up better than Emma. At the end Emma was serving to stay but looked out of steam.

Such clean ball striking from Skaya though, especially that 1 2 punch to the service line with such angle she's able to produce and so effortlessly. How can she not have won a title yet? Oh wait I guess I know why.

Hope she finally wins one tomorrow. Two of the players I want the most to win a title is Skaya and Muchova. Skaya never won a title before, Mucho won one but it was ages ago. If it's Leylah vs Emma I would root for Leylah for sure. But Leylah won multiple titles (although the USO lost is the most painful) already at least give Skaya one is my mentality.

Emma had only 18 UEs? This doesn’t look right lol it looked like she hit more UEs than winners.

 

Ngl. As much as I dislike both, I did want a rematch of Fernandez and Raducanu, especially it being in a final.

 

Smothering power and precision from Kalinskaya. Just too good.

 

I love both of them and am sad someone has to lose 😭 Cheering for Anna in the final, especially given Leylah rejected me 😜

 

Anna was great today. I hope she wins tomorrow, that kinda calibre should be rewarded with a title
