What makes this 'cultural'? Looks just the same as the multiple trashy over-sexualised photo shoots that many other players do.

 

Not at all. The trashy ones are actually trashy quality even if conceptually interesting, but this is art photography of high quality, both composition-wise, color-wise, and the depth of light and resolution.

 

This photography is top notch level.

 

I hope she gets a lion king deal out of this.

Also has to be said that she has some sharp facial features, sklnnier body - that would be always suitable for such work. Imagine someone with a more smiley puffy face like Kvitova instead, it would not look nearly as good IMO.

 

This may be surprising, but Magda Linette has one of the strongest individual sport brands in Poland. Among females only Iga is better. Magda smartly profits from the fact that she has a lot of interesting opinions, opened in social media in recent years and has had few unusual photo shots, avant-garde I'd say. Quite a few photographers remember her.
