So Diana Schnaider just got through to Hua Hin semi finals. She is also playing Abu Dhabi qualifying against Linda Noskova on the same day ( tomorrow). C'est impossible!

I think I asked on here before but is SHNAIDER Jewish or why does she have the atypical Russian surname ?

 

Galfi usually stands up well to power players but Shnaider just rolled over her today.
Shnaider's lefty forehand was just too potent and it caused Galfi to start to over play her own shots to compensate and she made errors doing so.

Diana has been really fun to watch lately. Smacking the ball with absolute authority and conviction.
Last fall I had the feeling she was on the way up watching her play the Chinese swing.

 

Shnaider looks exactly like a NPC from Topspin 2 with the bandana I cant stop thinking about it 😂

 

Diana is in Thailand playing the SF, she was scheduled to play Noskova in qualies, and Zvonareva replaced her and played her first match of 2024, besides an exo doubles match in that World Tennis League that Andreeva, Kenin, Rublev and Medvedev won

 

From the web Shnaider is 5'9, but from the video above Galfi at 5'10 is much taller
I think Shaider is probably only about 5'6
