Credit where it is due. Amount of qualifiers who were spinning their wheels. Have no Intel but since Sam has been there in her role. I am out of the ITF to the main roast here. Thoughts? I see what Sam is doing. It's top notch and a quick turn around for AUS.
They are a tiny country that somehow has a tennis major, let them have fun

For those of us not in Australia- could you elaborate more on what she’s doing?

Also I would imagine it’s her leadership and Barty’s inspiration for younger girls.

@goldenlox ”somehow” is diabolical 😂

I'm here for it. It's about time these girls actually did something. Some of them are in their rightful ranking, see Priscilla Hon and Ariana but I do see potential in Gadecki, Joint and somewhat Aiava and Birrell.

I think if Aiava could deal with her mental struggles AND have access to world class training and coaching she would be a great Tennis player.

Not sure but it was kind of cute seeing Stosur in Hon's box, seeing a former slam champ in your box would surely give some confidence and motovation.

That said, Alicia Molik put in the hard yards for many years as Fed Cup Captain when Hon, Birrell etc were younger, she lead Australia to two finals and in that respect I don't think she got enough credit. In her biography Barty acknowledged Molik during her early days. I think Molik has also done some work with those players from Western Australia (where she now lives)

Also David Taylor, who coached both Molik and Stosur at the height of their careers has worked within TA's junior program for several years.
