No official confirmation as neither the tournament or WTA updated info on players list on their websites (very unprofessional as the draw ceremony is in one day) but a credible source confirms Emma Raducanu received a main draw wild card.

She is on the wrong path again, not doing herself a favor at all.

She needs to play qualies, smaller tournaments, get the much needed match practice, maybe a string of wins even.

Every win is a confidence building factor.
I don't think getting constantly obliterated in a first/second rounds is a solution to her current problems.

Look, while it’s true she should be winning more matches, it’s not like she can’t win matches on this level, she’s top 60 after all and has just been in the 3rd round of Australian open after beating two very respectable names and a player who just won 500 title in Linz.

Iga loss was a beating but Iga level is something she’s far from. But she lost a very tight match in Singapore that she could’ve won. If she had won, maybe she’d go on a run there. I know she needs more match play but it’s not like it can’t happen on this level too. At some point, things will start clicking. She’s already showing more commitment to playing more tournaments than she did last year and for me that’s a positive sign for now. Obviously, there are so many things she needs in addition to playing more tennis - a coach, the right team, beefing up her game etc.

Who is she going to lose to?
She's going to get spanked by whoever she plays. She is currently not at this level.
I wouldn't even fancy her chances against a qualifier in her current state. So much work needs to be done both on and off court. A new coach should be her number one priority followed by playing qualies and/or basically dropping down a level and playing 125s or W100s.
