I am happy for Noskova that she won this tight battle. You could see it meant alot to her by her after match reaction.

There's now a rematch of her Wimbledon 4r against Anisimova.

Noskova is an up and coming talent who fought hard and gritted out the win.

But this is very disappointing for Pegula. She escaped against Raducanu only to flop in the semis after being match points up. Goodness knows what she was thinking in letting Noskova, who is not a great mover and must've been tired in the third, stand within a couple of steps of the center line and pound groundstrokes. Hopefully she does better in Wuhan.

Odds are likely stacked against Linda for the final against Anisimova. Still, nice gutsy win and outstanding tournament for Noskova regardless of the result against Anisimova. Hope this gives her confidence and she carries the momentum into the rest of the season as well as 2026
