How many PRs does she have left? Not interested in getting match reps by playing 250s and 125s?

She should be grinding wtth the Bondars and Sherifs in the semifinals of a 125 and get some ranking points instead of flailing in these cameo glamour appearances

This has all the makings of a Kvitova or Kerber farewell tour, except that Andreescu is not 35.

I agree with @textenfan above, but more things than that are also in a decline - her willingness to mix power and junkballs is gone (now it's just the latter most of the time), plus I feel like her return game and rally tolerance have also dropped.

If Bianca wants to play such a passive game style on the main tour, then she must be very fit to execute it. Tough to do it when your movement is lacking and find yourself out of the position too often. This isn't that bad of a result for her coming back off an injury and all, but the weaknesses are there in the open.

I think a lot of us recognized how her movement was going to be rough on her ankles, knees, and/or hips in the long term. Her movement is what propelled her to the top, and once injuries affected that she wasn't going to be the same player.

Good points. I guess I’m moreso surprised by how sudden the drop-off was. I personally wouldn’t have believed it if you told me she’d still only have 3 titles after the 2019 season

It's surprising, given she managed those three titles in between serious injuries. She was largely out with injury between Miami and the Canadian Open, then won that an the US Open, and then injured her knee during the WTA Finals which kept her sidelined until 2021. I figured she'd have injuries but also some success when she was injury free, but she's injured too much to get any momentum going.

Bibi needs a plan B, something like supporting Steve Simon on dragging out the Tsurenko legal battle to prevent her coming back on tour while she figures it out.

Sloane and Bianca are OBVIOUSLY done.
Nothing ranking wise or tournament wise says any different.
Sofia is Top 30 and looks wayyyy more likely to get another Slam, at least than the other two.

Andreescu is just constantly on a road to nowhere. Can’t stay uninjured long enough to gain any real momentum.

It’s really sad because she may not have been looking like an elite player but she was at least looking good enough to keep herself around as a second-tier player (think Raducanu, Osaka, or Kenin’s current position/ranking) and in the conversation in early 2023 before she got injured against Alexandrova.

Bondar :cheer: Solidly in the top 100 now and should stay there pretty comfortably until the AO if she keeps playing like this.

Good to have Andreescu back back again. I do think her tennis desperately needs a few uninterrupted months of grinding it out on the tour. Hopefully she can physically and mentally handle sticking around for a while this time; her career is getting way too Bouchard-like, it is depressing.
