Kaia KANEPI: The young estonian keeps rising steadily in the world ranking after reaching the 3rd rd at Miami $3,45M Tier I ousting 11th seed/n°13 Schnyder en route before falling to back in form qualifer n°101 Dushevina.

Julia VAKULENKO: At least, Julia can show all of her potential on the tour. After long period of injuries and even psychological desease...she seems to be frr from her old demon. Since a year, she's training at the Moratoglou Camp (French academy where Bagdadis is training) and she's playing very good tennis. At Miami $3,45M, she reached the 3rd rd as a qualifer ousting n°41 Daniilidou, 19th seed/n°21 Schiavone before losing to 14th seed/n°16 and eventual SF Peer.

Yaroslava SHVEDOVA: She'one of the russian 2007 revelation (ranked 32 at the race!). Last week, she made it to the 3rd rd as a qualifer at $3,45M upsetting 12th seed/n°15 Ivanovic en route before losing to 24th seed/n°25 in form Garbin in 3 sets.

Anastasia RODIONOVA: Anastasia is one of the anonymous good russian player...(so many are in the Top 50). She's up this week after reaching the 2nd rd as a qualifer at $3,45M Miami Tier I upsetting compatriot n°50 Likhovtseva before falling to 1"th seed/n°18 and eventual winner Serena Williams.

Kateryna BONDARENKO: Alona's young sister is revealing this year on the WTA Pro tour. She's up 11 places this week after qualifying to Miami $3,45M Tier I performing a convincing win vs n°64 Nakamura before falling to 3rd seed/n°3 in 3 tight sets (2 tie breaks) in the maion draw 1rst round.

Tamira PASZEK: Within 2 years Tamira will be a top star with no doubt if injury free. She keeps rising this week after reaching the 2nd rd at $3,45M Miami as a qualifer with a convincing victory over come backer n°54 Molik before losing to 15th seed/n°17 Li.

Yvonne MEUSBURGER: Yvonne seems to be lifted up with good resulr from her compatriots Bammer and Paszek. Last wek, she won Latina $50K challenger dominating young 16 y.o talent 5th seed/n°121 Wozniacki.

Caroline WOZNIACKI: One of the best talent with Paszek and Cornet born in 1990, Caroline ws given a WC at $3,45M Miami where she won a match vs n°90 Gajdosova before falling to 3rd seed/n°6 Hingis. The week after, she took a flight to Italy where she competed at Latina $50K challenger. She made it to the final falling in 3 sets to 2rd seed/n°110 Meusburger.

Alize CORNET: Young Alize aims to play RG 2007 without asking for a WC...she's on the good way...up 6 places this week after reaching the SF at Latina $50K challenger falling to another teen 5th seed/n°121 Wozniacki.

Angelique KERBER: Angelique is one of the best german hoipe...up 100 places since the beginning of the year. She's up this week after winning at Las Palmas $25K beating n°201 Cetkovska and being Runner up at Tenerife $25K losing to... n°197 Cetkovska.

Casey DELLACQUA: Huge jump for Casey in the world ranking who won consecutively 2 $25K Challengers on the Australian Tour: 1rst at Perth beating 4th seed/n°190 Sema and 2nd at Kalgoorlie vs Qualifer/n°429 Zec Peskiric.

Andreja KLEPAC: Andreja is up 5places afer reaching the 2nd rd at $3,45M Miami's qualies falling to 5th seed/n°121 prodigy Wozniacki.

Andrea PETKOVIC: Andrea keeps playing really well this year. 2 weeks ago, she was SF at Las Palmas de Gran Canaria $25K challenger ousting 8th seed/n°176 South en route before losing to n°197 and eventual winner Cetkovska. The week after, she was stoped in the 2nd rd at Tenerife $25K challenger losing to 3rd seed/n°141 compatriot Kerber.

Yurika SEMA: She's one of the japenes girl in progress...She was competing on the Australian challenger tour the last 2 weeks: ruunner up at Perth $25K losing to Top seed/n°154 Dellacqua and 2nd rd at Kalgoorlie$25K falling to n°347 Wheeler.

Amelie MAURESMO n°3 (+1), Kim CLIJTERS n°4 (+1) and Ana CHAKVETADZE n°10 (+1):
If Amelie and Kim didn't move up due to their results -Kuznetsova slumped after losing her 2006 Miami poins as winner), Anna is back to the Top 10 full of credit after reaching the SF (her 3rd since the beginning of the year!) at $3,45M Miami Tier I falling to 2nd seed/n°1 Henin.

TOP 20:
Serena WILLIAMS n°11 (+7):
Incredible record for Serena who is already 11 in the worls after only 3 tournements played since the beginning of the year. Last week, she won Miami $3,45M outclassing Top seed/n°2 Sharapova (dropping only 2 games), 8th seed/n°8 Vaidisova, 14th seed/n°16 Peer and 2nd seed/n°1 Henin (the only player to take a set to Serena). Is Serena on the way to her invicible period?

TOP 50:
Venus WILLIAMS n°32 (+7) and Agnieska RADWANSKA n°42 (+7):
After Serena, here's Venus who is up 7 places after reaching the 3d rd at the Miami $3,45M Tier I ousting 29th seed/n°34 Kirilenko in 2 sets before strongly resisting to Top seed/n°2 Sharapova (losing only 7/5 in the final set). Good tournement for Agniska too who made it to the 4th route upsetting 27th seed.n°30 and 5th seed/n°6 Hingis en route before losing to 24th seed/n°25 Garbin.

TOP 100:
Vera DUSHEVINA n°75 (+21):
Vera seems to be back in good form reaching the 4th rd as a qualifer at $3,45 Miami Tier I. In the qualies she ousted 10th seed/n°87 Kloesel. After that in the main draw, she surprised 21rst/n°22 Bartoli in 3 sets en route before losing 8th seed/n°8 Vaidisova.

): Petra is nearly back to her best ranking after an amazing challenger campain at the Canaria Island: Runner up at Las Palmas $25K (ousting Top seed/n°64) Yakimova en route before losing to 3rd seed/n°143 Kerber and Runner up at Tenerife (upsetting 4th seed/n°145 Tamaela) before taking her revenge vs 3rd seed/n°141 Kerber in final.

Seeing Yari, Aga and Julia all reaching career highs in the same week, what can I say, it was a good tournament in Miami. Thanks so much for your updates Fredbdx. :yeah:
