I would break it up 2000-2009 and 2010-2019, because there was a huge change in 2008 when Henin retired, Venus had her illness, Clijsters became a mom and Sharapova her shoulder surgery
2000
Serena
Venus
Henin
Sharapova
Clijsters/Capriati/Hingis

2010
Serena
Kerber
Azarenka
Wozniacki
Kvitova/Clijsters/Sharapova/Halep

Judging by your list and it's Serena omission you mean just based on general liking not any measure of talent/success.

In which case.

3) Myskina
4) Bartoli
5) Li
6) Zheng Jie
7) Zvonareva

Serena tops the list. The other nine, not necessarily in this order:

Venus
Kvitova
Kim
Mauresmo
Schiavone
Chakvetadze
Halep
Na Li
Petrova

The 10 players who impressed me the most at the high stage in the last 20 years:

Henin
Serena
Clijsters
Venus
Mauresmo
Azarenka
Kvitova
Li Na
Stosur
Osaka

The greatest level of womens tennis I've seen was with following matches:

Henin vs Serena
Henin vs Clijsters
Henin vs Venus
Serena vs Clijsters
Serena vs Venus
Clijsters vs Venus

not far behind:

Serena vs Azarenka
Clijsters vs Azarenka

most attractive:

Henin vs Mauresmo

On a side note, from this top only Henin would appear on a list of personal favorites. My personal favorites are players whose game style I especially like and that's different. I always want to see my faves win with their own style and range but it's subjective and not related to the show of a great quality match - I always enjoy a great quality match, no matter who plays.

I see most mention their personal faves, so here are mine

Lisicki
Radwanska
Wozniacki
Svitolina
Keys
Kasatkina
Cornet
Gasparyan
Halep

a few years back: Henin, Myskina

Those are/were players I always cheer(ed) for. What's what being a fan is. You want them to win because you like the way they play, or sometime just the way you wish they were playing!

An observation while i'm at it

What you see here is more volleys than now, but the level of strokes isn't better than Halep vs Hercog that i've watched ten minutes ago in the same event, probably even less powerful.

So you'll never see me whine about some long gone golden era... or the supposed weak one we're shamefully underrating.

You can only imagine Henin and Mauresmo facing Barty right now.

Ostapenko

Sloane (when she plays well)

I watched a match of Ana Konjuh’s against Aga a couple years ago and wanted to become a fan, but haven’t seen Konjuh since.
