Three-time champion Venus Williams withdrew Wednesday from the Nasdaq-100 Open, citing a ligament sprain in her right elbow. Sister Serena withdrew last week, saying she was not match-fit. She's a three-time champion at Key Biscayne. Venus' opening match was to be Saturday. She has played only once this year, losing in the first round in the Australian Open in January.
