Juan Carlos Ferrero beat Potito Starace of Italy 6-3, 7-5 on Friday night to reach the semifinals of the Copa Telmex. The third-seeded Ferrero will meet fellow Spaniard Carlos Moya in the semis. Moya overpowered Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo 6-2, 6-2 to advance. Unseeded Agustin Calleri also snapped Jose Acasuso's eight-match winning streak earlier Friday with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 win.
