Hopefully Pavs, but I have a bad feeling. Krej in 2.
i have the same mindset. I want Pavs to win but my heart tells me Krejcikova is going to win this. Actually either will be a nice story so I just hope for a great match!

Let's be honest, neither player is marketable, but at least we have a better story to run with Pav.
Is this supposed to be some wise ass crack that neither are considered beautiful in your book thus they are not marketable?

I think our mindsets will be a fair bit different to be honest. I'm pretty neutral to Pavs, but mine was a more coming from an anybody but Krej perspective. I'll never be a fan of Krej because she's just not my type of player, but maybe warming to her a tiny bit, and she has been on a really good run to be fair, so while still random, it wouldn't be half as random as if it was a Zidansek taking it.

Barbs has overplayed and her movement was clearly limited in Sakkari match. As a fan I'd like to see Barbs win, but as a realist I voted for Pavs (and not to jinx Barbs).

No thread?!?

I think Krejcikova will win because she beat Coco Gauff, who was the favorite at this slam. Also, she gets to a lot of balls and is brave on big points. Fortune favors the brave and this run to the title is very reminiscent of Ostapenko’s run a couple of years ago.

Do you guys agree with moi??

I feel like it would be a fitting end to this tournament if Krejcikova injured herself in the doubles, and had to withdraw from the final 😂

Both have had impressive runs, and would be deserving winners. Not really supporting either strongly; hoping for an exciting match.

Pavs. Even with the Jana Novotna backstory, i still want Pavs to win, she's 30, super-talented, has been a bridesmaid forever, a sweet drama-free easy-going girl. Plus i love the Lacoste dress
Barbora's still young with slams ahead of her.

Roland Garros AKA Strasbourg 2 final

Hopefully Pavlyuchenkova, having a recent doubles specialist win a GS is a bit much even for WTA
Barty?? Stosur?? WTA will be fine. There are a lot of issues but this is not one of them.

Based on the press conference interviews, Pavs seems super dialed in and focused still, while it feels like a dam broke for Krejcikova -- plus she basically gave the speech for the trophy presentation after the semifinal. Not sure which one is better. Krejcikova will come out playing either freely or loosely/sloppily, just happy to be there.
