i think the oprandi match was a bit deceiving in that oprandi throws in loads of junk (slices, drops, lobs, loops) and kim was never in a groove in the match. katya will be totally different, she will feed kim groundies that are waist height and kim will probably feel so much more comfortable than she did against oprandi.
the only way i see katya winning this is kim hitting 2 sets worth of errors. that could well happen given kim's lack of matches, but katya's passive forehand and soft serve will give kim plenty of short balls to pounce all over.

What would happen to Kim lost in straight sets? I don't know, I can't imagine it. Maybe only if Kim would give it a rest with this tournament, but she doesn't want to do it. She would like to play as many matches as it's possible before Wimbledon. People who say that Kim will lost in 2 sets aren't serious. Kateryna can't be compared to Kim, she doesn't even come close to her.. Especially when Belgian really wants to win and when she is making a good form.
It's relly hard to predict a precise result. I think it'd rather be 2 medium-heavy (or heavy) sets. But I won't be suprised if we see 3 sets, it's not important what kind : heavy ones or not. Always for Kim, of course. Any other result will be very shocking surprise.

Guys, you were very funny, but now... 6:2 6:1 for Kimmy, so opinions like "Kateryna in 2", "shred Kim", "send Kim home" are pathetic. Maybe you should interest in something different and give a break with tennis? Emotions are O.K, but I beg : be serious! I like Kim very much, but I will never "command" her : kill Serena/Kvitova/Maria on Wimbledon in 2 sets and win this tournament... I know maybe she can do it, but I'm sure that she will do it if she really can (I would like to see how she proves it). Moreover, I accept (and see) more possible scenarios and, sorry, I'm sure that I won't write nonsenses in this topic which could ruffle fans of other tennis players only 'cause I'm fan of Kimmy.
Force your favorites (like Azarenka, oh God =.=) to playing with injuries. Maybe they won't come back to tennis then, but who cares? Sad laugh. If only stupidy could fly... Jealousy is horrible, too.KatyaSend the part timer home.
