decent opener for SAISAI, though she may draw a dangerous Q in 2R (like SIEGMUND or MA) :bolt:

I can easily see Garcia losing to Rogers in R1 (a la Jen Brady) or winning the whole thing.

Barty vs Dasha AGAIN. Another lashing? Or will Gavrilova (former finalist) finally show something here.

Want to see former champ Stosur win ONE match. But Pegula was good in Charleston and in R2 she faces Yastremska who beat her in Melbourne.

I can actually see Brady or (if healthy) Puig make a run at least to the SF here, but I'm just going to pick Barty as the favourite. It's not her favourite surface and she was bad yesterday, but unless Garcia/Sabalenka/Yastremska peak out of nowhere I just don't think anyone has the weapons to really hurt her here.

I don’t care as long as it’s a double Wang final.

I see Kumkhum has ventured out of Asia, must be the week before a slam

i dont get why Barty is playing here
she's supposed to play in the doubles semi in Rome tomorrow
if she does well here she could be tired in Paris

i picked yastremska to bash her way to victory here.
her last couple of tournaments have been a little disappointing, so i think she's due for a good week.

i would also like to see sabalenka find some form here to, she is certainly capable in this field to win.
