She used to play for Spain when she was young. She represented Spain internationally in team competions and played the Spanish National Championships too. In 2011 she was a semifinalist in the U12 Spanish National Championships the same year Alex de Miñaur lost in the semis in the boy's event. He now plays for Australia and reached Brisbane semis this week.

Apparantly she switched a while ago, and she's not really noteworthy, but I noticed anyway that Michele Alexandra Zmau switched from Romania to Italy.

Zoziya Kardava - Russia -> Georgia.

No ranking yet, but she does have 6 ranking points from two tournaments so she should be joining the WTA ranks soon.

For the list of players who were born in a country they never represented:

Mirjana Lucic (Croatia), born in Dortmund (Germany)

The Apisah sisters should be taken out of the list since they now represent PNG.

ATP, but Michael Mmoh is a pretty interesting case - he could legitimately represent Saudi Arabia (where he was born), Ireland (where his mother is from), Nigeria (where his father is from) and the USA (where he was raised and resides).

I guess Osaka is a similarly international case on the WTA, with one less country.

His father, Tony, played for the Nigerian Davis Cup team on many occasions and represented Nigeria at the Seoul Olympics winning a round. He also played at every GS at least once and also on the circuit for a few years and lost to Stefan Edberg, Paul Annacone amongst others.

Bombshell!!1 not :SNE: I feel so sorry for Moldova though... losing their best prospects one after the other :awww:

I don't know about Detiuc, but both Bucsa and Bolsova came to Spain when they were really young and were raised here ;)

Perper seems to be getting good results as of late.
