if you know it, did someone enter in MD from the ALT list (that should be in different order of quali list)? last random hope for the Italians

What a flop of a QD.

I'll never understand why players who spend all year slogging it out in poxy 25Ks and 10Ks don't leap at the chance to play up.

People, Gjorcheska is seeded #1 in Q as you see.

That means no one lower ranked on the 24th of October got in, unless the macedonian did a very stupid thing like signing up only for Qualies instead of the MD as well (in a tournament where both deadlines are in the same day).

If she did no such thing and there were presumably other withdrawals, only MDOs could have gotten in, ranked between #190 (Barthel) and #200 (Gjorcheska) on the 24th.

No. Barthel was last IN and Gjorcheska is still the top ALT player for MD.

2 main reasons for all these withdrawals:

As in the past, players do not risk to travel to the tournament with such limited draw (14 direct entry) as possibilities of last minute withdrawals are logically less so if there are suddenly last minute withdrawals there would be no players to play as in today. (In fact, after all these last minute withdrawals players like Marfutina, Barritza, Wacnick, Matteucci or Zanevska were promoted to the Q draw but they simply were not around as they thought they would not get in)

Also, probably players (who are not used to play at this level) learnt too late that no accomodation is given for WTA 125K qualies and decided to skip the tournament at the last minute.

But why enter in the first place then?

Hoping for faster withdrawals and maybe a good number of them and especially the last part of spiceboy's post.(accommodation)

Do tennis players who register to the tournament get the information about the players in the MD list Q list and ALT list 3 weeks before the tournament not from this forum or maybe they only get information if they are in one of the list and about their place in the list

The first post in this subject was clearly less than 3 weeks before the tournament and it did not include all the information about the Q list and ALT list so I wonder
what is the information that the tennis players get and if they get information also about withdrawals like I can see in ITF tournaments(10-100K)
see for example the following link when I can see the acceptance list for a 10K tournament.

Players do get info about anyone entering or withdrawing (except WCs). It's just the WTA that does not make it public.
