I think it is so tragic that some careers have been ruined by boyfriends/husbands and the heartbreak that ensued while for some others, their men actually made their careers better

Better Career After Getting a Man

Vesnina - She was a mediocre player but after getting married, she rose to #14 career high ranking and won Indian Wells!

Cibukova - her husband’s unwavering support helped Cibu finally reverse her 0-5 h2h against Radwanska & Vinci, leading to her capturing her biggest tournament win, the YEC over Kerber

Worse Career After Getting a Man

Henin - her husband, Pierre Yves, caused a distraction off the court, which lead to Henin skipping the 2007 AO (she was the heavy favorite) to finalize her divorce

Serena Williams - the untimely pregnancy stopped her from ever beating Court’s record 24 grand slam titles, but I’m happy that she found love nevertheless. Her family is more important than the history books, but sad that she cannot have both!

I don't know if it's true but I have the feeling that Kiki's losing streak's started just after her dating Thiem, in summer 2017... And this year she's having real good results after their breakup (WTA doubles finals + Fedcup)

You know that Court was married with 3 kids during her own career, right?

Caroline Wozniacki's engagement with Rory Mcllroy almost cost her career but it resurrected the moment he broke things off.
Was thinking the same .

Is Hardenne actually gay? Otherwise shouldn't go throwing that statement around.

Pennetta went down the spiral after Moya cheated on her (and she found it out on a tabloid) when they were discussing wedding. She found the strength to fight back and pushed her way to top 10 debut afterwards. You can see how horrible it was for her in the pictures of her first tournaments back from it, she had lost so much weight:

Lucky for her, she is happy with the Kyrios of Italy.

Kiki did really do better at the Fed Cup not sure if the end of the relationship is related to her success.

Also in the words Nadal, it can be a 'BS question' that marriage is the downfall of sports personalities.

I think it's more "worse" than that. Kiki was wearing a ring on her left hand, she's still wearing it. Thiem offered her.

I think the break up is from him... Kiki always been more invested in their couple than he was. I think now that he has scored top results, beating Federer,Nadal,Djokovic he doesn't need a love relationship nor the time you know...

never liked him tbh. he showed why. Hopefully she'll work her way to the top and show he doesn't deserve her. The same could be said about Bajin.

-->AMBITION FIRST.

Viadisova will always take the cake here.

Her relationship didn't effect her career. It literally ended the whole thing - just to get divorced.

Hingis disrupted a few careers in her Hay Day

Chris Evert and John Lloyd. He got to marry America's sweetheart, and she ended up winning what, 7 French Opens? His ranking plummeted to outside the 100 - and they ended up getting divorced. I love Chris, but how many husbands has she had? Oh, and her last one last eight months to Greg Norman, so maybe there is Karma after all.

Nor was Henin's illness in 2004 an STD. Also, missed only one slam that year due to the illness, not three. And she missed the 2007 Australian Open, not 2006. About the only thing the OP got right was the spelling of her name.

You could argue that Clijsters career was boosted by her relationship to Hewitt, but only for example in Australia, the fans love her down under and some of that has got to do with dating Hewitt, I think it helped her to win the Aussie Slam because she had so much support, it was almost like she was an aussie herself. Not taking away her huge talent as well.
