Bouzkova and Sanchez out :tape:
Bouzkova was promoted to the MD, as well as Kalinina I guess, as she was right after Bouzkova in the 18th of February rankings.

Don't know the withdrawals. Possibly one was T. Maria being taken out from the list.

And Sanchez is still playing Irapuato, so of course she's out.

Too bad Yafan pulled out, this would have been an easy 160 pts, but I suppose her coach advised her that she’s above this now and would be counter productive for Miami. With that said, it’s an excellent chance for Anna-Karolina who I think will be the top seed.

Maria still in. How is that allowed??
According to the rules:
A player who based on ranking would have qualified for Main Draw Acceptance into a Grand Slam or a combined 12-day WTA Tournament at the entry deadline is allowed to play singles or doubles (or both) in a WTA 125K during the second week of such Tournament if and only if the player has been eliminated from the singles and doubles of such Tournament on the day of the WTA 125K Qualifying Sign-In deadline or, if there is no Qualifying, by 4:00 p.m. on the day before the Main Draw begins. The WTA 125K may wait to hold its singles or doubles draws so that it can determine which players are eligible. Players still competing after such deadline will be automatically withdrawn from the WTA 125K.
Maria was eliminated from IW on March 08, same day of the Q Sign-In deadline.

You found the correct rule dude, but the Qualifying Sign-in Deadline was 4 p.m Guadalajara time and Tatjana Maria was on the court in IW, playing against Barty at that hour!

Lame that she's in the draw...

Any thoughts, @spiceboy ? Did this happen before ?
They changed the rule in 2019, now it is on the day of the qualifying sign in deadline and not by the qualifying sign in deadline

here the same paragraph from 2018

A player who based on ranking would have qualified for Main Draw Acceptance into a Grand Slam or a combined 12-day WTA Tournament at the entry deadline is allowed to play (i) singles in a WTA 125K during the second week of such Tournament if and only if the player has been eliminated from the singles and doubles of such Tournament by the WTA 125K Qualifying Sign-In deadline or if there is no Qualifying, by 4 pm on the day before
