How about that should be my trophy.
Understandabley...whiteplains said:Not related to thread topic...but I can tell you that she is devastated...She came into the locker room after the loss and cried her eyes out...she was screaming at the top of her lungs at herself...she stayed in their and cried for a really long time...
You know those thoughts had to pass through Venus' mind.tennnisfannn said:I was also thinking along the same lines. She must realise that if she had served the match out, she would probably be holding the trophy tonight.
Anika Kapros must thinking that she and Kim lost a simiar no. games to Justine She too could have been a finalist. Do players look at possibe scenarios?
Venus must be convinced that if Kim had converted those matchpoints against serena at the AO, she would have won another slam.
You certainly are entitled to your opinion with regards to the thread. But how is this disrespectful to Kim?fnac said:"Anika Kapros must thinking that she and Kim lost a simiar no. games to Justine She too could have been a finalist."
Stupid thread and very disrespectful to Kim. Kim would have LOVED to play Capriati. (instead of Henin)
Thanks for this comment. All I meant is that Anika equalled Kim in the first set. If the no.1 can get 5 games off Juju then a player lke Anika should have been bagelled. Anika has beaten Juju before, she has beaten a two time GS winner.TSequoia01 said:You certainly are entitled to your opinion with regards to the thread. But how is this disrespectful to Kim?![]()
That explains a lot.TSequoia01:

Not necessarily.tennnisfannn said:Vera has beaten Venus a four time GS winner, Don't you think to inspire herself Vera would look at her victory and think, if could beat Venus then surely I can go all the way. She has battled with one of the best and come out on top. Any of the lower ranked player who has ever beaten a GS winner and no.1 can have the same confidence.
Also, clay is by far Vera's best surface, grass is Venus' best surface. That was Vera's 2nd grass tournament of her life, 1st of this year.Kabuke said:Not necessarily.
It was quite obvious Venus was in pain and shouldn't have been playing.
Taking not away from Vera, but Venus' injury was very fresh.
And a semi-recovered Venus showed that her loss to Vera was more to what Venus couldn't do than what Vera could. Which was evident when Venus beat her handily roughly three weeks later at Wimbledon.
