Absolutely embarrassing stuff. Iga’s attitude towards grass is low key unprofessional and unlike her general approach. The moment she shrugged off questions around her grass preparation in press conferences I knew Wimbledon would be a mess. She pretty much said at RG that prepping on grass would require her losing early at RG and that she wouldn’t trade that. Absolutely zero fucks given about Wimbledon and a deserved outcome. I’m not even mad.
After 7 years on tour, she has made just one QF at Wimbledon. Safe to say she will never win one.
And her record outside of RG is getting diabolical. R4-QF-R4-R3-R3 the last two years.
