BBB Maddi has done approximately billion lousy things during her tennis career but losing to a clay courter Hercock @ Wimbledon has to be the lowest point. Polona had not beaten top 20 player since 2015 and had never beaten one on grass.

That was some of the most disgusting tennis I've ever seen. There was no tactical intelligence or restraint used by Keys. And it's well known that she is not a big fan of practice sessions, so it's hard to feel too bad for her if she's unwilling to hone her skills at the level required.

Madison :help:. Once again she got an amazing draw at a Grand Slam, but as was bound to happen she can't keep taking advantage of them forever . It's bizarre that she has flopped at Wimbledon two years in a row though now. Better luck this summer and please play a full schedule finally .

Hercog is quietly having a very good year, she should be seeded at majors soon.

Thank God. Keys already fluked her way into the QFs of Roalnd Garros, we didn't need a repeat of that here. Thank you Polona for exposing that BBB. :cheer: Oh and please Wimbledon organisers, next time Keys is playing here, give these poor ballboys/ballgirls some helmets, she almost knocked some of them down several times. :tape:

Really happy for Polona. :bounce: I know it was more or less self-destroyal from Keys but I don't mind. :) And she will actually play winner of Gauff/Rybarikova. Probablly best opportunity ever to reach R4 at grand slam.

Hercog and Martic both had a fruitful clay season, it's surged their confidence and is carrying over to grass.

I see Keys going through the Sharapova evolution. A major grass court threat as a teenager that gradually becomes more and more of a clay specialist.

Great result. I kept waiting for Hercog to choke but it never happened.

I think it's more fun with her playing the role of a slightly taller Kanepi, murdering seeds in the early rounds at Slams. But maybe that's just me.

A contender for the worst match Keys ever played.

An absolute nightmare - anything she didn't have to miss, she missed. Hopeless until the very end.

Hercog was quite good in the first set - and her game can be quite annoying, those loppy forehands that end short behind the net, wtf? - but in the second set she kept giving her opponent chances that the American refused to convert over and over.

So I can fairly say Hercog won't go far either.

As for Madison, I think grass is the worst surface for her. I don't know if she can skip this part of the season from now on?

same could be said of Hercog actually - she barely missed Keys herself with one of those flying forehands.
