It's like asking if Serena will ever win RG again. Obviously, both have the ability to win any tournament they've won oncwe again. We're talking about players in their early 20's.

To be totally cynical about Justine, even if you assume she wouldn't have won the US Open if one of the Williams sisters had been there, the reality is Venus and Serena don't play much, and are often injured. Justine is quite likely to play a US open with no Williams sisters again. Or only one Williams sister, and that one injured.

WILL she win the US Open again? Who knows?

Do circumstances favor the IDEA that she'll win it again? Of course.

couldn't serve it out or break serve. Had Venus or Serena come 11 times within two points of the match, they'd have capitalized.

Not really. On clay, yes....but on any other surface either doesn´t really have to be at their best to beat Justine. It´s the other way around. Justine´s to be in top form to even stand a chance.

I think that out of all the grand slams, the us open is the one that justine will have the most trouble winning with the williams arounds and then wimbledon. but never say never. i think that justine just needs to really get over her mentality against venus. i think for the most part, justine now has the game on every surface to defeat serena and venus on a regular level and vise versa. even though everyone is making the claim that justine currently is the mental giant of the tour with the sisters sidelined, adn that may have validity to it, when the sisters come back i still think that justine has some mental issues when she plays them. i mean it doesn't matter how many grand slams you've won and how long ago was your previous matches and what the surface is, the sisters have very imposing charatcters and physical build. it's very difficult to gauge how well anyone will play against venus and serena when they come back into the tour.

game wise, justine has the ability to win the us open with or without the sister, but of course the mentality is that the sisters can pretty much fight their way into winning whatever they want and although they've failed to do that alot this year, no one ever counts them out. and i think that's what justine needs to tell herself. that she can win and that the sisters can't as long as she's still playing. it's not about being arrogant but it's about telling yourself that you can win regardless of who the competition is.
