If the pressure doesn't get her in the UK she can be there by doing well in Nottingham and Birmingham especially when Coco doesn't win tomorrow.

Yes, it's going to depend a lot on the next few weeks and also Wimbledon points will get wiped away with no opportunity to earn unless something changes...

the consolation with Wimbledon is that while she will lose a decent # of points, Pliskova and Sabalenka will lose even more

So in general, she'll need a strong pre-Wimbledon while those around her are not good or a strong post-Wimbledon before the USO.

If that doesn't happen but she can somehow retain her USOpen title or the extreme least get to the final, she'll have more opportunities after that.

she'll get to the top 10 at some point yes, but she definitely needs up her game compared to the start of this year

Gosh I hope not YET...

Emma has played 13 tournaments since the US Open. 6 opening round losses. 8-13 record. Highest ranked win: #49. She's 57th in the race in spite of good seeding and favorable draws.
She hasn't beaten a top 10 opponent yet in her career. It might be good if she has to work a little harder for it than some people dropping points between RG and Wimbledon.

You know WTA is dead if she does make it to Top 10 without a single victory against a Top 10 player.

Well she's the highest ranked in Nottingham, and only Sabalenka of the top 10 is playing a tournament that week, so she could very well get to it. Her highest seeded competitors are Giorgi, Cornet, Riske, Zhang, Tomljanovic, & Haddad Maia.

It’s likely she will between now and the USO. But I expect her to drop out of TOP10 after the USO and then she will probably need another year to get used to WTA, start getting consistent results before she comes back into it.

Even if she doesn't get there this year. She can still get there in the future. I think her career will only reay start off after the us open defending pressure is gone and she can play more free again.
Or she goes the Andreescu path and doesn't even sniff a Top 10 without the frozen rankings fiasco? There's every chance Raducanu's high-water mark has happened in 2021 already and she won't be able to "start off" without those USO points. Not to mention UK media will probably keep her in the spotlight for years to come due to almost zero British competition.

Bianca's career is not over yet either and she was top 5 before covid.
