She has lost four straight matches. and yes, first rounds are byes for seeds, but nonetheless, a bye is not counted as a win, and therefore it cannot be considered a second round if u haven't played a first round. Either way u look at it, will Jelena go winless the rest of the year? I do not know her schedule the rest of the year. It would be wrong to assume she is not playing every tourny she can enter...
And how much does she have to defend the rest of the year? doesn't she have some points at the YEC to defend which she cannot this year? I am not sure how much first round loss at the YEC count.
I know it's harsh and really cruel, but I am enjoying the constant fall of Jelena Dokic. :lol:
What will her ranking be at the end of the year, any guesses?
I say top 25 best, top 35 worst.
Here is food for thought, next year, Dokic will face even thougher opponents in first rounds because of her slip in rankings, and thus she will continue to lose, and thus continue to fall.

I am not a dokic fan at all, but make allowance for the tragedy of an childhood that she had.....

She must have had a totally crap up-bringing, with that sadly alcoholic father's problem screwing her up. Now he's apparently doing the same to his son..... sad.

Sure she has made a packet in tennis, but at what cost?

I think it will take Dokic years on her own to get the distance that she needs from that stuff, deal with her demons, and sort her self out.....

Please, nobody has an easy time, at least she has the possibility to get away from him, to make her own living, etc... Yes she had a rought time, but who in the top has had an easy time, it takes more than talent to get there, and Dokic doesn't have it!
I just think it's funny because I've been saying from the beginning when she came on the scene that she won't be at the top, she was what one can call a lucky thing, she got as high as she did because of Sept 11th and the other top girls not being there after except Lindsay, that allowed Jelena to get to top ranking wise. There are another 50 girls that she is ahead off that she no way should be... we will see her ranking where she should be in a year...

But, you apparently have little experience, understanding or sympathy for the sad and complicated family dynamic that she had to endure, and the sort of recurrent public humiliation that was the norm for her. How long does it take to get over shit like that?
