Does anyone know if any of the wild cards have been allocated? Who is in the running?

Elke, turn it down and beg BLBC (Blonde Lefty in a Baseball Cap) to take this Tier III as a token of shame for the Tier II WC you let Daddy use Kim to steal from her 4U in Leipzig! (p.s.-Anca, demand her Antwerp '04 WC instead). ;)

I was kind of hoping that Karina Habsudova would get one, as she is in the commitments list as next in qualifying. It would be great to see her make her singles comeback here! I reckon Minella will get the second one, although it should be Kirsten Flipkens...

Claudine Schaul is the only one confirmed so far?

I wish that Belgians who are so quick to (correctly) take the US to task re trying to throw its weight around would apply the same standards "@ home". Meaning "actions have consequences". Meaning that if Elke got potential benefit from Lei's robbery of Anca Barna re. the "Leipzig Linkage" of her and Kim, she should have to "pay the piper" re. NOT getting one in her "backyard". In fact I'd have her barred from any her actual ranking doesn't EARN through the '04 season @ least. (And I realize Elke didn't engineer it, but the integrity of the game is threatened by stunts like Lei pulled).

The WCs go to right women. Claudine is the #1 in Lux after Kremer? And Flipkens needs more women's tournaments and matches instead of junior clashes.

On the official site, it says that Elke Clijsters has got the second wild card after Schaul

Also, Milly Sequera is playing instead of Kristina Brandi.

karina habsudova makes a comeback? and her ranking? how many tournaments did she play this year???
Karina made an appearance in the US Open doubles this year, her injury ranking is 138, but has not played singles since Australian Open 2002. She is in the alternate list here, but probably won't play. I reckon that she could probably postpone comebacks till next year, from the articles I have seen, she doesn't want to rush her injury.
