Why is Hantu still struggling against horrendous players ?

She dropped the first set to Savchuk, ranked 115.
Daniela is #14 and playing the best she has in years.
This is gonna piss me off if she loses. She was given a gift: a dream draw to the Semi's.

Dani certainly has Top 10 potential, but losses such as today's will prevent her from getting there. She's lost to a few lower ranked players over the past year, but nothing exactly disastrous.

She should bounce back from this - she has done in the past. If she can pull out the big performances when it matters then she could squeeze back into the top 10 - but there are some good players in there.

Just because she beat DH does not make Olga a 'young star on the rise', or a phenom, or make her shit smell like roses.
It made her lucky that she beat a player who can crumble if the sun isn't in the right place. Is Melanie Gloria a phenomenal player ?

She's not good, and the matches that i've SEEN her play, she has no weapon to threaten ANYone in the top 30 so get yer nose outta her butt.
Now she's not reading these posts, so i don't feel bad bashing her, maybe you should stop taking things so personally ? And cheer up, mate ! It's just a game.

cause the pressure is on her and whenever Daniela played great, she just wants to do it a step better so that kinda adds up to the pressure as well

wake up,man!tennis has globalized so much over the years!there is so mich talent brimming from all over the world.the "graf-seles-sabatini-triple times"are over.nowadays,the whole wta-tour is so much closer,ability-wise!

and BTW:the ranklist has over 1000 players listed,what is "horrendous" about being nr 115??

and one last word:i find it great,that the tour is bringing up constantly new talent.that makes it really attractive.

thank you,rox!yes,because it seems to go on and on here!its a boring theme,its as easy as that!i grew up in the steffi,gabi and so on era,and therefore,i know,what im talking about.today,there,theres much more game and attractivity in it,and thats good for the sport,the fans,everyone!!

poor dani has only ever won one wta title, and that nearly 4 years ago. reckon she should drop down to the tier 3's for a bit and get a few titles to remember what it's like to win.

There's more depth on the tour than is publicised so Savchuk taking a set isn't surprising.
