I hate it she gets no power on that shot and often looks lazy why doesn't she just close her stance so her shot can have more power? Makes no sense why she hits every backhand open stance

She doesn't. When she has time to set herself up she sometimes hits her backhand down the line with closed stance.

the strings nowdays allow open stance to hit with enough power,no problem there

her FH/BH today is sometime i pictured woz playing there but when she is on,it‘s fine, although her grounstroke may not peak again.
