Not even tennis reporters has given an update on how Jen's shoulder rehab has been going. What is up with that?

The media probably doesn't have anything to update us with, because Jen is keeping her rehab private. I hope she is doing well and I really really want her to come back soon. She has a lot defend on the clay ....Jennifer get yourself back on the tour...only when you are 100% though

Jennifer has historically kept her injuries a secret. Just like her announcement of surgery.

Well, to me, it seems that the whole world is focused on Venus and Serena(fans and Julia's, alike), so I wouldn't expect anything newsworthy until after Venus and Serena are not playing.
