In 2001, it was Lindsay with five. In fact, those wins gave her the edge over Jenn for #1. So Tier II's are important.

Who's going to win the most Tier II titles in 2002?

BTW, how many you play would tend to enter into it.

Venus is NOT my pick.

So what are we talking about?

Sydney
Scottsdale
Amelia Island
Hamburg
Eastbourne
Stanford
San Diego
Los Angeles
Pilot Pen
Princess Cup
Linz
Leipzig
Hannover

and a few others.

I suspect Lindsay or Martina. Maybe Kim will surprise us and be the one. She's certainly a better Clay player than Lindsay, and plays more tournaments.

It probably will be a close race. I see Lindsay, Venus, Serena definitely winning their share. Jennifer and Monica slightly behind. Kim may win two or three. Dokic and Justine a couple. Hingis will win somewhere. Hmmmmm no runaway winners.

I don't think Serena will be in the mix... she doesn't commit to that many Tier IIs. Mostly Tier 1s and some Tier IIs.

I think it'll be Martina, Lindsay or Venus.

i reckon its a toss up b/w lindsay, monica and martina! seeing as though lindsay won so many this year i dont see why she wont be able to do it again next year!

Lindsay leads this year with 5.
Venus and Amelie are second with 3.
Kim and Martina are next with 2.
Monica has one.

We can expect the same thing to happen next year, may with Monica, Martina and Kim winning more.

I'd probably say Lindsay will lead in the tier 2 titles next year aswell. She does play quite a few of the tier 2's, and a lot of them are on surfaces which suit her well, so I'd say her chances are good.

Well Jelena seems to play her best on tier 1's, so i guess she can win a few tier 2 aswell, the ones with less a davenport.

Monica should win more tier 2's, ummm didnt monica win 2 tier 2's in 2001? Oklahoma and Bahia i do believe
Hope to see Arantxa win a few, most likely on clay.

Ooops, my mistake, Oklahoma is tier 3.

Goodluck to the peeps in my signature

Forget the Tier IIs, Anna is going to win ALL the Tier Is next year (and Monica the grand slams) .

Lindsay will probably win the most Tier IIs next year bearing in mind she seems to be the only top player who consistently turns up to play them, aside from Martina.

I'd be interested to see if Amelie can dominate the clay court events again and if she doesn't then who will ?
