I think Aryna’s Wimbledon chances passed her by - the ban and injury scuppered that. Not ruling her out completely but she is no longer a favourite to win there. Same with RG, she scuppered that final herself though.

Iga just needs the AO, and to me that seems far more likely.

 

Aryna is 27 so she might be entering her last few seasons of her peak. Not many women have been able to win GS-titles in their 30's. If she should complete the Career GS, it's not unfair to think she'd have to do it in 2026 or 2027 - maybe 2028. So probably 2-3 more shots at WC and RG. And you have to assume that players like Andreeva, Gauff, Mboko etc. keep improving.

Iga for sure will get it. Just a matter of time.

Who gets it first? Probably Iga, since I'm not entirely sure Aryna will complete it. She's already wasted way too many golden chances, and she's not exactly Serena, who was a reliable GS contender even in her mid 30's.

 

Another question is which one of them will reach 30 titles first!?
Iga has 25, Aryna 21. Again the obvious answer is Iga but am sure a case could be made for Aryna.
Considering how few titles top players tend to win these days, it's a great statistic fro both of them.

 

Iga. Sabalenka won't complete it at all

 

Just let Iga win all the Channel Slams for the rest of her career and Saba the HC slams.

 

Nothing is a given many players in history had 3 of the 4 by time they were age Iga is now and never won the 4th

 

Iga probably does it. But better question is who wins a career slam between Sabalenka, Gauff, and Krejcikova. Easy to dismiss Barbora but I can see her at least sneaking in 1 hardcourt slam.

 

I prefer 4 AOs and 4 USOs over the career grand slam anyway. It’s on brand for her as a hardcourt queen.
