Halep: AO Final & USO SF. Multiple Tier I HC titles & finals.

Kerber: 2 RG QFs. Only other significant clay results are Stuttgart & Charleston.

Muguruza: AO QF & USO 4R. Cincy & Beijing titles. Wuhan final. Finally free from Sumyk.

Kvitova: At her peak, the best player on tour. Can win anywhere, but not a fan of slow clay or NYC.

Osaka: Results lacking on clay & grass, but she's only 21.

Is Sloane Stephens a joke to you lol. That's my vote anyway

Obviously grass is the biggest issue but she did have a decent run in 2015 winning 5 of 7 matches at Eastbourne/Wimbledon, and she won junior doubles Wimbledon so she's not that bad on green.

Nothing is granted, and people often tend to go nuts after a very good, or a very bad result! :)
It's clear that Kerber is the closest, and then Halep and Osaka ...
If she will not fade away, like Bouchard, considering the age, Osaka has the best chances to complete the career Slam ;)

I was thinking Halep probably has the best shot now. She seems to have become allergic to the US open though.
She was allergic for four years to the Wimbledon too. She had only one SF at Wimby, and nothing after that. She has only one SF at USO, and nothing after that. So...

She's lost in R1 two years in a row. She lost in R1 of the AO two years in a row, then reached the final, so you never know. She usually reaches the second week if she can get past the opening match.

Technically Kerber is the closest but I feel like because of her past performance on clay, she's actually not. Halep is the one who's been closest previously..but on the other hand, Osaka has more time on her side, so at the moment it's between those two.

Yawn. Another derivative thread exactly like the many we have seen this week. How bored are we??

"Will Halep win a 2nd GS?"
"Who has the better career? Kerber or Halep?"
"Whose Wimbledon peak was better? Halep or Kerber?"
"Who will win a career slam next?"
"Why does WTA get less viewers than ATP?"
"Why are WTA not as consistent as ATP?"
"Who is the GOAT?"
"Will Serena reach 24?"

Ad nauseam.

Kerber - not winning RG anytime soon unless she makes the F and plays a nervous Serena in the final.

Muguruza - possible if she can get her shit together, I still have confidence in her especially since she got rid of Sumyk.

Kvitova - as much as I want her to I think she won't win RG to do it. Probably another AO/W before she ends her career.

Osaka - you never know with her but I think she would do it, maybe another 5 more years though.

Halep - probably the best chances. I can see her winning USO this year especially if all the top players flop again.

So, Halep > Muguruza > Osaka > Kerber > Kvitova

None of the above. Halep might be able to win USO and AO which is more than I can say about Kerber winning RG. If Halep won't, I don't see anyone obvious. Osaka is a hard court specialist and I just dont think she will win Wimbledon or RG in her lifetime. Kenin and Anisimova have shown they are good on every surface, particularly Kenin.

I honestly feel much of Halep's success is due to Serena and Sharapova no longer full time players. Halep filled that empty space.

Halep is the obvious choice. After that I think Ash Barty after she’s got the most difficult out of the way. Nobody else will win 4 seperate majors.

Simona. It is very possible she will win USO 2019 or AO 2020 and then who knows.
