Who will be no.5 ??

If Serena or Jelena win the Chase they might become the year-end no.5..!!! <img src="eek.gif" border="0"> <img src="frown.gif" border="0"> I really hope Kim or Justine will be ranked no.5 and no.6 at the end of the week (and this season)!!!

If WILLIAMS want to become no.5 she'll have to beat (most likely) :Farina, Henin, Capriati and Davenport! If she does that (and Kim and Juju suffer a 1st round exit), she'll have a total of 3090 points (which is 4 more than Kim and 167 more than Justine) so she would be the new no.5!

If DOKIC wants to become no.5 she'll have to beat Shaughnessy, Davenport, Clijsters and Capriati! This would give her a total of 3300 points (which is 214 more than Kim and 377 more than Justine) so she would be no.5!

If KIM wants to be sure of the no.5 spot, she has to reach at least the SF. If she gets beaten before the semis, she'll have to cross her fingers that Dokic doen't win the Chase!!

If JUJU wants to become the no.5 she'll have to win the Chase. If not then she'll have to hope for an early exit for both Jelena and Serena...

I think it's obvious: we want an all-belgian final <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0">

I never tought that the no.5 spot would be in danger for Kim (or Justine). Serena isn't such a big threat. Only if she wins the Chase and beats all the highest ranked opponents possible, then she'll be no.5. Dokic worries me a little bit. If she manages to reach the semis, then she can become very dangerous for our Belgian babes. Let's hope Lindsay beats Dokic again!

Well, this is how I see it. We'll just have to wait till tomorrow to see how our Belgians do!!!

Serena has no more chance of ending the year at no.5, due to Kim's win over Elena Dementieva. The only persons who can overtake the no.5-spot now are Jelena Dokic and Justine!

Here are the rankings after the 1st round (players marked with a * are still in the Chase)

If Jelena wants to end the year at no.5, then Kim & Justine will have to loose in the QF and she'll have to win the tournament. Otherwise Kim (or Justine) will end at no.5.

Well, it's a big race between Kim, Justine, Jelena and Serena to become 5 or 6...

Kim has the best chances to end at no.5. <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> Justine is more in danger because, if she looses tmorrow, Serena has a good chance to reach the 6th spot <img src="frown.gif" border="0">

We need these matches: Kim beats ASV Davenport beats Dokic Justine beats Serena

Sorry, I haven't seen the schedule yet so I can't help you.

Jelena is also playing a tournament next week (at least she planned to), she would be first seeded. So if she plays, she has a good chance to win the tournament.

I hope Serena wins against Testud, so Henin can be sure not to play Serena again in the QF at AO!

Turt, I don't know how you do it, but you're wrong (again).
