Thanks Irma...do you live in finland??...but i know that Mary Pierce is really good form and she is coming back and always when she is on the court she looks very confused....she will make top 10 next year...i am sure!!!!
The difficulty within that is that both will loose some more points in the beginning of 2002 maybe and then have to defend NOTHING
That means they´ll fall even deeper maybe and then rising HIGH
They both will have direct entries for sure but they won´t be seeded therefore high profile first round matches are possible against top8 players and that won´t make it easier for the comebackers
I think that Mary f.e. would do good playing the 2 Arabian events again and face no other top player apart from Testud or Hingis ; others might not wanna go there and Mary can test her form and earn big points for that
Martina Hingis will make a comeback for #1
I forgot.....PATTY SCHNYDER I think 2002 will be her comeback year ! She already showed signs of her revival this year so I'm positive she'll make a bigger impact on the tour next season !!!
At the top end of the tour, probably Martina is due some good results (assuming she can put in the hard work required). By the law of averages, she should win another Slam soon.
My guess is that Mary Pierce won't get back to the top 10 again.
Lower down, Barbara Schett should be able to do things, she's still fairly young.
Iva Majoli will hopefully continue her slow climb back up the rankings - but I doubt she'll return to the no. 4 spot she occupied before.
Lower down still, Anne-Gaelle Sidot has plummeted down to about no. 100 but she's better than that and I'd like to see her winning again a.s.a.p.
One wonders also, on the other hand, whether the Williamses will be dominant in 2002.
Then there are those who will be making waves for the first time, such as Daniela Hantuchova.
