When u look at who she lost too it really opens up one's eyes to SEE who she has beaten as well. She's never lost to Seles/Capriati and Lindsay in awhile. She lost against Juju but beat her when it truley counted. She never lost to Kim C. She's been beating Hingis on a regular basis. In fact I think she has a winning percentage against martina the last two years. Oh and I love Monica dearly but she hasn't beat Venus ever.

ASV-FAn thanks for that Info.. WOWSER When u look at the list she hasn't lost to anyone twice in the last two years. I never realized that before. Boy when she loses to someone she sure means business when she faces them again. I think Lindsay is the player who can beat Venus on a consistant basis out of any of her losees in the past two years. ASV.. I would NOT wish to see Venus play her on clay. Has Venus ever beat her on that surface?
MonicaSelesLover - I guess you weren't around when I posted a thread on Venus' losses and 3-set wins this year. Man, I wish I copied it before it slipped off the board. (Um, did it slip off the board?)
Not counting the Indian Wells walkover she has lost to...
Martina Hingis at the Australian Open
Magdalena Maleeva in Nice
Justine Henin in Berlin
Barbara Schett at Roland Garros
Meghann Shaughnessy at Stanford
Only the Shaughnessy loss was a three-setter (and it ended in a tie-breaker).
She did NOT beat Capriati in Miami/Key Biscayne. Venus fought off 8 match points methinks.
I actually found her 3-set wins stat more interesting. There were at least three cases where, when she lost the second set (against Davenport and Henin at Wimbledon and Cara Black at some North American hard court event) she just completely shut them down in the third. (Only Davenport managed to win a game!)
And after the Shaughnessy loss she only lost one set for the rest of the year...to Henin of all people at New Haven.
