Lindsay won 3 titles in a row for 3 weeks.
Now she is up for Munich. I dont see anyone beat her in this tournie except her fatigue. But I see her becoming more powerful as she plays.

I think Lindsay will continue the streak until the Clay season next year.

GO LINDSAY!!!!!!!

I think Venus and Serena can beat her

She seems to have a major problem with these 2 players.

Yeah the Williams Sisters is really a threat to her but not in earlier part of next year. The williams never showed any good results in Australian Hardcourt rebound ACE surface. This is where Venus lost 6:1, 6:1 to Martina and almost have trouble with Amanda. Whereas Lindsay last year has fitness and speed problems still managed to reach Semis and lost to eventual winner and doubles final.

If she plays what she is made of right now, no one can stop her until CLAY season.

I can't see Serena causing problems for Lindsay at the moment. Serena hasn't played since the US open (if i'm correct), Lindsay on the other hand has just won three tournaments and is in her best form since a long time.

Unless Lindsay has problems with her concentration, i can't see anyone beating her.

Lindsay is playing very well and for the most part has played well all year. But she is vunerable to either Williams sister. Serena will give her all she can handle if they meet. As far as Venus not performing well at the Aussie....donot believe it, she is not going to school this fall and will be in top shape come January. Last year she had only 11 days to get ready and still reached the semi's where she sprayed balls all over the place.

ARE U SURE SERENA WILL PLAY MASTERS??

NO ONE CAN BEAT LINDSAY ON INDOORS IF SHE PLAYS HER BETTER TENNIS LIKE SHE DID LAST 3 WEEKS.

NEXT YEAR WE WILL SEE...EVERYONE IS GOOD ON HARDCOURT SO SHE COULD HAVE A LOT OF TROUBLES BUT THIS YEAR NO ONE WILL BEAT HER.

Just wanna agree with Angelica.
Nobody can stop her in Munich, I think Serena would have the best chances, but not in her form. She really played no tourney since the U.S.Open.

Come on Linds, win in Munich and become #1 !!!

Lindsay has to be favored against anyone she has to play.

Venus isn't here, and if she was, she hasn't played since the USOpen.

Lindsay beat Jenn the last 2 times they played and is 8-2 lifetime against Jenn.

Serena hasn't played since the USOpen.

Monica isn't here.

Kim, Amelie, Justine, Jelena, Elena et al would have to play the match of their lives, AND hope Lindsay came up flat.

Nobody can stop Lindsay in Munich. I'm sure she will win Championships. She deserves to win, because she was playing very well last few weeks. Even she didn't win a grand slam she should be No. 1 in the world.

I think start of the new season won't be very easy for her. She lost to Capriati at Australia and to Clijsters at Stanford and if Monica stays fit she has a chance to beat Lindsay too. The long rest can make Martina Hingis stronger too and there are other players who can improve their game over next few weeks.

On current form, I would also be very surprised if Lindsay did not win the year end championships.
She has played consistently well all year, and despite being out for a while with an injury has a great shot to end the year at top the rankings.
She quietly won, just like she always does, and just like her fans always say that she will

I think Serena is the only one in the draw that can stop Lindsay. But Serena has two disadvantages. One she hasn't played in almost 2 months, and it usually takes her longer to shake off rust than Venus. Two, the Championships are indoors, which favor Lindsay. Lindsay only has one disadvantage. She hasn't faced anyone with the combination of good serve, speed, and power since the USO. Jenn has speed and power, but doesn't have a consistent serve to get her free points like Serena. So IF they meet it would really be a toss up. At this point I give Lindsay a very slight edge. Only slight because if they meet Serena would have had enough matches to play herself into a groove.

While I agree that Lindsay is the clear favorite...I think it is really absurd not to believe Jennifer can win this thing.. Jennifer has a knack for playing better in the bigger tournaments...Remember the smaller tourneys before the French? or how about her 2nd round loss before the Aussie...Yes Lindsay leads her 8-2...but Jenn won the big one and in STRAIGHT SETS....and dont get me wrong Lindsay is great but she is definetely not Venus Williams...whom i believe is the BEST player....if Venus were playing and playing this well then I could honestly say that no one would most likely beat her....but..........

The way things are going right now, its pretty much safe to say that if you are going up against Lindsay, and your last name is not Williams, "Forget About It".

Lindsay is 0-2 with Serena, and 0-3 with Venus, but since Venus is not here, thats enough about that Diva. I keep reading that Serena can't beat Lindsay because she has not played since the US Open, to that I say, Bologna!

Remember Indian Wells this year? it was Serena's first event of the year and she creamed Lindsay in under an hour, Serena is just that type of player, it does not matter how long its been since she played, its how she feels when she's playing (mentally/physically) ... which always seems to be fine when going up against Lindsay.

Now I am one of Lindsay's biggest fans, but I am not going to sit here and say Lindsay is unbeatable.
Serena could beat her, and so could Dokic for that matter. I know you are probably saying that sounds crazy, but remember last year? Lindsay beat up on Dementieva all year round, then lost to her at the Championships in the first round ... it could happen with Dokic too!

Dementieva has played Lindsay close every match since then. Clijsters beat Lindsay the last time out, and though I do not think she will, Jennifer has shown that she can beat Lindsay once in a while.
Other than those 5, I do not see anyone else with a chance of beating her ... but you never know???.

Good Luck Lindsay, lets make it 4 in a row.
