Really looking forward to Schiavone vs Pironkova. This is another match up between two very different players who both have very individual and I think very attractive games. Obviously the surface favours Fran vastly more and in many ways this is quite a similar match up to her 1st round against Kimiko, as Fran is once again up against a player who hits flat and prefers grass. I don't honestly expect it to be much more competitive than that match was but like in Fran's 1st round match, I expect it to be fun with a lot of cool shots on both sides of the court.

The other main match for me is the match with Slava. This is huge for Slava and after a good 18+ months in the tennis wilderness, at least in singles, this is an excellent opportunity for her to begin to reestablish herself as a force on the tour. I desperately hope she grabs it by the throat and doesn't let go.

Also want to see Sesil give a good account of herself. As for the others, well I always love watching Angie play, it would be nice seeing Begu and Zakopalova do well, and I might catch some of Li and Kvitova both players who when they are on their game can be good fun to watch as well.

Did you see what Pironkova did to Wickmayer?

Yeah, it may be fun to watch, indeed. But don't necessarily think it's going to be a blow out either, in Fran's favor.

We'll find out tommorow.

I won't have time to watch any most likely :ras: but I'm looking forward to Ula-Petra match the most. Hope Ula can put up some challenge.
