I like to see the big bashers like Sabalenka. But a great defensive player like Wozniacki or Djokovic is interesting also
I consider Medvedev to be a defensive player with a basher's serve. He hits so many soft routine balls and dares his opponent to do something. That reminds me of Wozniacki

I like Davenport & Sharapova's version of big babe tennis which was impressive considering how accurate & powerful they were.

I don't care for the Ostapenko/Keys/Rezai/Giorgi version of it.

All court tennis is my favorite style, Henin, Barty, Mauresmo, etc...

Venus & Serena brought big babe tennis with athleticism, Venus could actually play the net and had amazing swinging volleys.

Clijsters was probably the only defensive player I like because she could sprinkle in offense when needed and her defense was very dynamic.

No one will ever do it the same.

My favorite Big Babe sampler is, of course, Lena D. That was harmony. Very feminine, yet powerful game. My ideal in WTA. Rybakina comes pretty close. Ivanovic had some delightful power too. Venus in her youth. I wish Stephens would take tennis more serious, her effortless power and elegance could be a delight of the tour

Counterpunching - Myskina, Capriati, Azarenko.

If Dementieva could serve like Rybakina that would be an interesting player

My two favorite tennis players ever are Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic. I love offensive tennis. Period. When people say that Djokovic isn't an offensive tennis player, I know that they don't know ball. They think "offensive" means hitting a winner with every shot.

On the WTA tour, my favorite players to watch when they are playing well are Ostapenko, Collins, and Rybakina. I never understood the "ball basher" criticism. Someone like Ostapenko, for example, goes for her shots when she sees the winner. Do people not understand the insane amount of talent required to hit the ball as hard as Ostapenko does and for the balls to hit the lines as often as Ostapenko does? It's a remarkable talent!

I hate boring tennis players hence my disdain for Grandma Krejcikova and her geriatric tennis. Everything about her tennis is boring. I also dislike pushers who just try to extract errors from their opponents by keeping the ball in play like Simona HalePEDs.

My favorite styles are ballbashing and power hitting with controlled agression. Like all my faves fall into these 2 categories.
Counterpunching is also a thing, but less these days.
Crafty and cunning like Henin was also fun back in the day... can't really think of any equivalent these days.

What is brainless ballbashing - made-up term to define a player's style?
Not really, Azarenka, Ostapenko and Sabalenka are the best representatives of this style.
Ballbashing without much thinking and often taking way too much risk – in a nutshell.

I like all of them mixed together. The only one that gets boring is two non-crafty pushers against each other

No way! Medvedev takes control of points, where as Wozniacki was often much more passive. I can kind of see a comparison though, as they both have hard courts as their favourite surface. Wozniacki did have a decent first serve, but I wouldn’t say it was anywhere near the top like Medevdev's is. They both prefer backhand, but again, Medvedev is just much more craft on his forehand side.

I mean Hingis is probably the closest WTA comparison to Medevdev tbh, but obviously Medevdev wins was more free points off his serve. But in terms of general game play, that is the closest.

Was it boring during her Dubai run through 5 top 15 players? She didn't much look like a grandma tennis player in the finals against Iga. Or when sending Pegula and Sabalenka to the bakery.
