Adi: in all due respect (as I usually quite enjoy your posts) - if you think Venus and SErena ARE the WTA and everyone else flat out sucks, then you clearly don't watch ANY tennis EVER.<br />The women on the WTA work their ASSES off their entire lives to get where they are.<br />Some players are more naturally gifted than the rest - but it certaintly doesn't make the other players LOSERS!<br />That is a LOSERS attitude!

Becca deary.. YOU are defending Vanny, period. YOU are down for whateva' with Vanny. Vanny has done as much smashin' on Vee and Rena's accomplishments, as I've of hers. AND, no, I haven't been seen playin' any tag team tennis, with Vee and Rena, to help them out with their successes.

BUT according to MY SISTAHS Vee and Rena, I have my role with them. They REALLY appreciate the support we their fans give them. Do you remember the Essence Awards, I do. The sisters expressed a very sincere tearful, heart felt appreciation for the support of their fans... it was a beauty of a moment. I GOT it on tape. <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

GOJELENA, you didn't answer my question. Please open your mind up just a little, and realize that it's not all Williams fans. Many posters on here would like to think that, but I've sat back and read lost of things on this board, and one thing I've noticed is that their are hypocrits everywhere. Why is it that every other fan can defend and cheer, and it's looked at as dedication. But when the Williams fans do it it's glorifying, oversensitive, or just plain wrong? Why would the world be against two succesful black tennis players? Sisters that give back to the world? That's what I'm wondering. I don't go into threads and say I hate a particular player. I don't bash their fans for liking them. I don't blame players for things they've done in the past, and throw it in their fans face. I have seen it done by lots of posters on here including non-Williams fans. So the Williams against the world thing is a little redundant.

As far as publicity if you knew Venus and Serena at all you would know that they did not choose tennis. Their parents, Richard in particular, started them in tennis. I'm sure they didn't see some famous tennis player making lots of money at the age of 4 and said to themselves that they wanted the fame or money. You are the one that made the fan glorifying comment. I merely told you that they have achieved glory not by their fans but by their hard work. As far as publicity whenever your making their kind of money, achieving what they have, and being who they are plublicity comes along. That publicity whether good or bad is sustained by not only their fans but their non-fans as well. Like you. <img src="rolleyes.gif" border="0">

Oh my god, why are you being so childish (heavy-hitta)?! In case you didn't notice, the title of this thread was "Which of the two Williams sisters will perform better?" It's NOT Williams vs. everyone else, and if that's what you think it is, you are sadly mistaken. And if you think I am saying this because I'm not a big Williams fan (actually, I have a lot of respect for Venus, and Serena......well, not as much), you are wrong again. So, just stop with all this nonsense.

To continue the real intent of this thread, I think Venus will have a better year.

Becca, Heavy-Hitta has already spoken for himself, but my question to you is how is it that you have not once blasted Vanity for all the hating and bashing they've done since joining this board, and yet you take issue with Heavy-Hitta?

Vanity's agenda is transparent. You know it, I know it, we all know it. You had the chance to call them on it, but you took issue with HH instead.

All Vanity has done in the one week or so of joining this board is mostly post anti-Williams messages, insult their fans, make racists remarks, and has even managed to get an admin edit on a post. Is that a record or what? One week, Becca.

I come to this board to cheer my favorites, and to have fun, and I try hard to respect others, and I try to stay away from telling others how they should feel, or what they should post, blah,blah,blah.

So if you are going to set yourself up as the board police and arrest Heavy-Hitta, then you most certainly need to put out an APB on Vanity. Quick.

And SweetLindsay, you came in here calling HH childish, but you need to view some of Vanity's rantings. It'll become crystal clear to you who has taken the path of immaturity.

Jovon: Vanity has been blasted this entire thread. I don't see the need to repeat what has already been said by half a dozen other posters.

And I do not see how I was telling Heavy Hitta to act <img src="confused.gif" border="0"> I was simply pointing out how silly it was to brag that "my faves are better that yours". I'm entitled to my opinion.

In fact my arguement was not directed AT Heavy Hitta, or Adi. It was directed at their comments towards other players.
