Just tuning into the ITV4 coverage of the first day of RG MD 2019 and on past performance, I am not expecting a lot of equality when it comes to coverage either in terms of matches shown or comment made..John Inverdale is the main host!!!

Which TV channels showing both men's and women's tennis would you say are the least and most sexist channels? Which channels try and show equal amounts of both and which ones always switch away from women's matches and even have panel discussions droning on about Federer and Nadal when they could be showing a women's match? Which presenters are the worst example of male chauvinism, which women presenters suck up to the men and do the sisterhood down, which men praise women's tennis and which women presenters stick up for the women's game? Which channels think it is ok for men with no knowledge or interest in the current women's game to commentate on it, whilst women are never allowed to commentate on men's matches?

ITV4 are selecting Court Simone Mathieu Garbine Muguruza v Taylor Townsend over Angelique Kerber v Anastasia Potapova first up...interesting choice....I always think when they do this sort of thing it is part of an evil plot to avoid other women's matches later in the day! On verra.....

Both are women's singles, so why would it matter which one they chose? British Eurosport is also showing Muguruza v Townsend on its main channel.

As to whether the organisers are trying to get the women out of the way early: The last match on Chatrier is Pliskova vs Brengle, and the last two matches on Lenglen are Mladenovic vs Ferro and Stephens vs Doi. So, "not today ...".

As for Inverdale fronting ITV4 being sexist ... that comment about Bartoli is long in the past. Inverdale is fine as an anchor (maybe not so much as a commentator :tape:).

EDIT: It's not as if the likes of ITV has any say in the scheduling anyway.

A great and fantastic non non tennis question, humans think about.

The "max-25 years-old-chicks-in-bikini-mud-fight channel" is the least and most sexist TV channel
in the world.

It's not been too bad so far.

The bolded bit: Sam Smith is currently commentating on the Cecchinato vs Mahut match with Mark Petchey on ITV 4 at the moment. Unusual, yes - unheard of, no.

FOX SPORTS 503 is just showing centre court so the gender balance is entirely up to RG organisers and usually 50/50.
