It's rare these days, but it will happen in Memphis tomorrow.

Lisa Raymond vs Alexandra Stevenson in the Memphis final.

A wion would probably put Alex in the top 30. Much better than I expected for her this year. IMHO, Alex has top twenty talent. Maybe top ten. (Likelier #11, #12) But I thought that would be 2004.

Not sure I'd call Stevenson a pure serve-volleyer either from what I saw of her against Capriati in Sydney - but I accept that's the only time I've seen her play in ages.

Alex isn't really a serve and vollyer but Lisa defo is!:rolleyes:

Neither Lisa nor Alex are serve/volleyers out and out. I was courtside to see Lisa take apart Karen Cross at Wimbledon last year and while she finished a lot of the points at the net she usually came in mid-rally. As for Alex she's definitely keen to get up the court, something that will stand her in good stead for the future I think.

Alex is serve and volleyer? :rolleyes: I saw her match against Jennifer and Meghann at Sydney and she is definity not serve and volleyer!
