does anyone know Venus and Serena's upcoming schedule?
I heard that Venus is supposed to play Dubai and Doha - does that look likely?
And what is Serena's estimated return date?
just so I have something to look forward to...

venus is suppose to play in the open gaz de france between feb4-10 and serena is to play the antwerp tournament the week after that,then venus is to play dubai which i think is the week after the antwerp tournament!!

Feb 4 - Paris - Venus
Feb 11 - Antwerp - Serena
Feb 18 - Dubai - Venus
Feb 25 - Scottsdale - Serena
Mar 18 - Miami - Venus/Serena
Apr 15 - Charlston - Serena (Only if they bring down that damned rebel flag)

what is it about the flag thing,i have never heard of the story around the flag,all i know is serena doesn't compete there because of it,can anybody tell me the deal with the flag?:bounce:

hmm. this is the first I'm hearing of Rena possibly playing Charleston.

cheeky--the NAACP staged a boycott of South Carolina because they insist on flying a Confederate flag in I forget which building. But the flag is very prominent, and it is offensive to many black people in this country. Anyway, I don't know if there is still a boycott going on, but Serena, Chanda Rubin, and I believe Sandrine Testud bailed on the Charleston tournament because of it a couple of years ago.

good to see the schedule. One thing thoug - there's LOTS of flying involved Paris to Dubai, Antwerp to Scottsdale... don't tire yourself out, Venus!
