Seems to be losing matches she should win

lost to a russian WC last week and to another WC this week both ranked way below her

if she wants to be a seed she cant afford to lose these matches . . Alicia please pick up your business, its a shame to waste all that talent losing in qualies to WC

It's been a long year for her, considering having to come back mentally and physically from the ankle injury she sustained. I expect she'd be eyeing the end of the year and a well deserved break!

If it is the end of the year thing, would she not be better to finish her season now and return to Australia to mentally and physically recoup. I know it is easy to make these judgements from the position of sitting in front of my computer, but if you have had enough for a while, and don't need the money or points, the situation may actually be better by playing less.

i think she is pushin for a seeding like she said at fed cup . . perhaps the injury and long season are taking there toll

we will have to wait and see at the Bell challenge where she has a great chance at going a fair way into the tournament

Alicia is on her final trip abroad. She's not used to the indoor fast carpet. I don't think she's tired or down on confidence, she's just having trouble adapting to change in surface.

Incidentally Nicole Pratt was back in Melbourne this week training at Albert Park reserve in preparation for Luxembourg next week.
