I often think you can tell a players greatness by how few bad losses they have. I can count the bagels Henin received (that I can remember) on one hand, and I don’t recall Serena ever having a loss as bad as she had to Mary in Indian Wells 2000 after that match. Her 62 62 losses to Garbine and Halep are the closest that spring to mind. I actually think Iga could fall into this category.

She looked bad in all her matches in Warsaw. Whether that was pressure or rust I don't know but if she brings that same level vs Shelby or Kudermetova she could be in trouble right away in Canada
