Like MaryLinda, the first tennis I saw on Tv was the "World Invitational" at Hilton Head in 1976. They taped 2 days play and showed it over several weeks, even mixed doubles!

MaryLinda-do you remember if it was early or late 1976? The women used to have a hard court exhibition in Texas also, called the L'egg. In January of 76 Evert beat Goolagong in the final.

The World Invitational was a personal favorite since I got to play on the center court years later! <br />If I could only win the lottery I'd move to Hilton Head in a minute!
