1981 U.S. Open final when Tracy Austin beat Martina Navratilova in three sets. I remember rooting for Tracy all the way but when Navratilova cried during the awards ceremony......I became an instant fan and she has been one of my greatest faves ever since.
What was the first tennis match you ever saw?
Mine was 2000 wimbledon Venus Vs. Martina, and they said that Venus finally beat Hingis in a GS. I think thats why I like her now becuase that was the first match I saw!!
