and a book about children in the polish ghetto (the title was something with angels. it was a german book)

"Bridge to Terabithia," one of the best and most sad children's books ever. God, I hated/loved reading that book when I was little.

I remember trying to read that book in french for school but my french sucked so I stucked with the slang eating an elephant thinking it was a hat. I only discovered that when reading the book in dutch since I had never finished it otherwise;)

i was reading a book for my GCSE Welsh literature course called 'Cysgod y cryman' its about this ritch boy who goes to uni and turns into a commuinist. There are other sub plots but thats the main story one of the saddest things is his sister is forced to marry this doctor from Liverpool even though shes in love with Karl a worker on the farm who was a prisoner of war from WW2.Even though the farm owners loves him like a son they can't accept his love of their daughter and in the end he has to leave. That was so sad.

I've never cried reading a book
No wonder, The Mickey Mouse Adventures are not really emotional :p

I've nearly cried at the end of 'Not Dark Yet' by Nick Maes, a nice, funny and emotional story, and a nice book i recommend.

yeah... this is the book im going to list too..
a child called it by david pelzer

whats so terrifying about the book is it was the third worst case of child abuse in cali at that time. i cant even imagine the first two cases.

she used to put david in the bathroom.. vents closed... and put a mix of ammonia and chlorox... im surprised the poor kid didnt die fromthe chem reaction. then she would make him clean the bathroom.

she broke his arm... she stabbed him. she made him live inthe garage... wouldnt feed him n whenhe would steal food from school she would beat him.. make him throw up everyday and eat whatever her threw up.

she did so much more..

did you ever read the two follow-up books? if you havent you really should.

this is a bookthat i think EVERYONE should be forced to read. its prolly the only book that really ever touched me.
