WATCHED BY HER mother Oracene and sister Serena — the fifth seed who withdrew injured before her first match on Monday —Venus ambled through the 58-minute match to set up a third round clash with 32nd-seeded Slovakian Daniela Hantuchova.

Australian Open

Looking bored, the number two seed rarely bothered to chase any ball that was beyond her considerable reach, preferring instead to hit winners when the ball came to her.

What a bastard this writer is!!

Those who watched the match clearly saw that VENUS was in pain and even clled in a trainer, but this moron makes it look as it VENUS was not trying because she lacked focus or was lazy.

Some people are really envious at the achievements of certain people or groups of people. :(

Yeah, that article made me laugh. Even watching the match today made me laugh. I'm always amazed to watch Venus play, because even when she isn't feeling well she still looks awesome on the court. Despite the fact that she was like on 20% herself today, she still managed to get by Kristina Brandi with ease, hitting winners with ease. She'll have to step up her game a little though against Hantuchova. I hope her day off will allow her knee to get better.

I watched the match too. That was amazing how Vee was able to dominate that match even on one leg. She is the best!:bounce: :bounce:
